MEDICINE HAT, AB — The Medicine Hat Mall has confirmed two new retailers will be setting up shop in the mall once renovations are complete.

General manager Richard Okrainec confirmed to CHAT News Today that children’s retailer OshKosh B’Gosh will be coming to the shopping centre, and Pannizza, a Canadian pizza and pasta chain, will be a part of the new food court.

There are nearly 300 OshKosh B’Gosh stores located around North America. The company, owned by Carter’s, has been around since 1895 and sells children’s clothing.

Pannizza, founded in Quebec, allows customers to create their own pizzas with more than 50 ingredients. The chain is primarily based in Ontario and Quebec, and is starting to expand into Western Canada.

The two new stores join the previously announced Marshalls and HomeSense as tenants in the renovated and expanded mall. Okrainec says the mall will announce one new tenant a week for the next several weeks.

“Once we announce who they’re going to be, as we move on, they’re going to be great additions to the mall for sure,” he said.

Work continues in the former Target location, which will become the mall’s new food court. Okrainec says the new food court will be open by August. Construction will shift to the old food court area, and Okrainec says construction will be finished by Spring 2018.
