I’m impressed that (a Canada’s National Telecommunications Company’s) workers put cones out around their vehicles to ensure they check the perimeter before moving. After all these years of them doing so, why haven’t more of our local companies adopted the same safety procedure?

Why do firefighters work 14 hour shifts and 10 hour shifts and then get to sleep at night? Why not 2 x 12 hour shifts like police and nurses? Why should the city have to provide sleeping facilities? Let them work all night long like others do. Also, why should we have to provide non-fire related uniforms for them. We don’t provide uniforms for the gas dept. or the electrical dept., they get coveralls.. that’s all.. no uniforms. City council stand up and have the courage to do the right thing!

Find it hard to believe that I have to pay such ridiculous tuition at college while not only does the presitdent probably make a 6 figure salary but she also hires her husband to work there and take more money from the college…. can you say conflict of interest! How does she get away with that?!

All the negativity in this city… the place is full of whiners and complainers about EVERYTHING. How is it possible they can’t find any positives to talk about?

Two healthy looking mule deer with huge racks of antlers sauntering past my house! Love seeing this. It’s one of those little pleasures that make Medicine Hat a cool place to live!

I went to a large Canadian retail store today and had the WORST customer service ever. I waited 20 mins for someone to let me into a change room and they never showed. Someone was paged, but never showed. Then, and very begrudgingly so, I went to the counter to pay for other goods in my basket. I expressed my discontent with the cashier and she laughed. LAUGHED. Are you serious? Long story short, I spent $13 at the store today and I could have spent more had I been given some service.

Door dings. Seriously, people need to have some respect for other people’s vehicles and be more careful! I park a zillion miles away from the stores and still get them. Some even come from my co workers at work! (Thanks to the white SUV at work for my latest one >:|)
