Effort to end poverty in Medicine Hat by 2030 unveils strategy today

MEDICINE HAT, AB – An initiative to end poverty and increase well being in Medicine Hat will be unveiled today in two events at the Esplanade.

The Poverty Reduction Leadership Group is calling the effort THRIVE.

A community information session is scheduled today from 11:30 am to 2 pm. That will include lunch and a discussion.

A second session, by invitation only will take place at 5 pm, also at the Esplanade Studio Theatre.

The Poverty Reduction Leadership Group is made up of several individuals and organizations in Medicine Hat, including the Community Housing Society, the Food Bank Association, City of Medicine Hat, Prairie Rose School Division, Medicine Hat College, Medicine Hat YMCA and community members at large.
