Senior Bonspiel underway

MEDICINE HAT, AB — The Medicine Hat Curling Club has been buzzing in the past week.

The Gas City Senior Bonspiel started Monday at the club. The annual tournament features 16 teams in the open bracket and another 10 for the master bracket.

The tournament wraps up Wednesday afternoon with five championship games, all with a cash prize on the line.

The championship draws start at 1 p.m. at the curling club, and is open to the public.

The curling club also recently wrapped up the junior bonspiel on Sunday. Kenan Wipf’s rink from Huntington Hills in Calgary finished the bonspiel with a perfect record, defeating Hannah Bouvier’s Medicine Hat rink to claim first place.
