MEDICINE HAT, AB — A snowfall warning remains in effect for southeastern Alberta including Medicine Hat.  According to Environment Canada long periods of snowfall are expected to continue until Tuesday, with the heaviest accumulations of snow falling Sunday and Monday. Anywhere between 15 to 25 centimetres of snow could fall before Tuesday.

A snowfall warning for the Croswnest Pass-Pincher Creek-Waterton Lakes National Park area has now been upgraded to a winter storm warning.

Environment Canada is calling for hazardous winter conditions due to a moist flow of Pacific air and a dome of cold air over the region.

Snow is expected to begin tapering off by Monday evening. The area will likely see 40-60 centimetres of snow with the possibility of over a metre of snow in some areas.
