Snowfall warning in effect this weekend

MEDICINE HAT, AB — A snowfall warning is in effect for much of southeastern Alberta including Medicine Hat. Heavy accumulations of snow are expected throughout the weekend with 15 to 25 cm of snow predicted to fall in some areas by Sunday evening. 

According to Environment Canada the precipitation is coming due to a continuous stream of Pacific moisture from a low near the southern BC coast. 

Periods of snow in the area are not forecast to end until Tuesday. 

Drivers are reminded to adjust their driving with the changing road conditions and take it slow as the the snow continues to accumulate on roads.
