Two boys taken to hospital after ingesting household chemical

Calgary, AB — Officials are reminding parents of young children to be extra careful of where toxic items are being stored in the home after two young boys where taken to hospital in Calgary Friday night.

Emergency crews were called to a home in Calgary Friday night after reports 2 young boys ingested a household chemical.

The two were quickly transported to hospital, one was in serious conidition and the other was in stable-non life threatening condition.

The father of the children gave doctors an unlabled water bottle with a substance in it which he believes his kids ingested.

Officials say that all medications and household chemicals should have labels on them and they should be kept locked up to keep away from children who love to explore.
