MEDICINE HAT, AB — The Medicine Hat Tigers will be without a key part of their roster during a key stretch of their season.

Defencemen David Quenneville will be out at least four to six weeks after suffering a cracked fibula during the Tigers’ 6-2 loss to the Regina Pats Tuesday night at the Canalta Centre.

Quenneville’s injury occurred after he blocked a slapshot to the leg during the first period of the game. He did not return after leaving the ice.

Quenneville, who is now in his third full season with the team, leads the WHL in scoring among defencemen. Quenneville has scored 20 goals and recorded 28 assists for 48 points in 38 games.
