Saskatchewan RCMP officer arrested on firearms charges in Edmonton

EDMONTON — A RCMP officer from Saskatoon is facing firearms charges in Edmonton stemming from an incident earlier this week.
Dale Malbeuf, who works out of the Morse RCMP detachment east of Swift Current, was arrested after police allege he pointed a gun at a woman in an Edmonton home.
Malbeuf has been charged with pointing a firearm and careless use of a firearm.
Malbeuf, a 12 year veteran of the RCMP, has been suspended with pay while the investigation continues.
