MEDICINE HAT, AB — The Medicine Hat Travelodge Cubs have once again shaken up their front office ahead of the 2018-19 season.

Two weeks after taking over the role of team president, Dave Kowalchuk has been voted in to serve as the new general manager, and will also be taking on the role of director of hockey operations, a new position with the team. He joined the team as director of player personnel several months ago.

In a news release sent late Monday, the team confirmed board member Richard Fritzler will serve as team president, while Ted Breznik will be vice president.

Kowalchuk was serving as president after Calvin Foster stepped down from the role.

Blake Foster has been named assistant general manager. A full list of board positions can be found below.

Training camp for the Cubs runs September 7-9.

The team kicks off the Heritage Junior Hockey League season on the road on September 22, battling the Ponoka Stampeders.

The Cubs’ home opener is set for September 29 at the Kinplex, where they will host the Coaldale Copperheads.
