In Loving Memory of Lisa Allison Rex
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Lisa Allison Rex, who passed away on July 17, 2026, in Medicine Hat, Alberta, at the age of 58. Lisa was born on February 7, 1968, in Toronto, Ontario.
Lisa was predeceased by her parents, Robert Rex and Inga Brammann, and by her sister, Linda Rex.
She leaves behind her daughters, Kyla (Anthony) Darr and Kallyn Dinning; her grandchildren, Addyson Darr, Ayden Darr, and Sloane Heidinger; and her brother, Darrell Rex of Montreal, along with many extended family members and friends who were part of her life.
Lisa had a quick wit and a great sense of humor. She loved sports (especially hockey) and could always be counted on to make “large lump sum” wagers with family over games. She had a special place in her heart for animals, especially her beloved cats, and never hesitated to help a friend in need. She prayed often for those she loved, and if you were in her circle, she would be the first one calling with birthday wishes or anniversary texts.
Life was not always easy for Lisa. She faced many difficult challenges, struggles that do not define all of who she was. Though those battles were heavy, they have now been replaced with peace. Those who loved her find comfort in believing she is finally free from the pain and burdens she carried for so long.
Lisa’s greatest legacy is the love she had for family and friends. She will be deeply missed, always remembered, and forever will hold a place in the hearts of those who knew her.
A private graveside service will be held at Hillside Cemetery by her family.
– Don’t search for me in sorrow, but find me in the mountains, where the air is clear and my spirit is free. Don’t remember me for my darkest nights, but for the love I carried in the light of the moon. When the wind touches your face and the sun warms your heart, know that I am at peace, and that I will always be with you.
In lieu of flowers, we kindly asks that memorial donations be made to your local SPCA or Our Collective Journey, in Lisa’s memory. Condolences may be made at www.gracememorial.com.
