Marion Constance Kenny, beloved wife of the late Fergus Kenny, passed away at the Good Samaritan Southridge Village in Medicine Hat on Monday, June 29, 2026, at the age of 91 years. Left to cherish Marion’s memory is her family, Debra (Shayne) Cockerill, Marilyn (Donny) Oss and Allan (Kathy) Boser. She was predeceased by her husband, Ferguson in 2002. Marion was born on October 18, 1934, in Wales. As a young girl, she immigrated to Canada with her parents, where she built a life centered on hard work, family, and kindness. She spent many years working as a housekeeper at the Travelodge, where she was known as a dedicated and dependable employee. Marion took pride in her work and was respected by those who had the pleasure of working alongside her. Those who knew Marion will remember her for her cheerful spirit, wonderful sense of humour and ability to make others smile. She had a way of brightening a room with her laughter and positive outlook and she enjoyed sharing stories and good times with those around her. She treasured every opportunity to gather with loved ones, creating memories that will be held close for years to come. Whether it was a holiday, a birthday, or simply time spent together, those moments were among her greatest joys. Marion also had a special place in her heart for animals, especially her beloved Border Collie, Scotty. Their companionship brought her endless comfort and happiness and Scotty was rarely far from her side. Marion will be remembered for her warm heart, her hardworking nature and the joy she found in the simple pleasures of life.
