Pride for Everyone returns to Kin Coulee Park with cultural presentations and activites
Indigenous cultural presentations, Drag Story Time and family-friendly activities will highlight the annual Pride for Everyone celebration at Kin Coulee Park on Saturday as the community marks the closing weekend of Pride Month.
The free event runs from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Kinette Picnic Shelter and features Indigenous drumming and dancing, a presentation from Two-Spirit knowledge keeper Warren Winnipeg, community partner booths, tie-dye, lawn games and free pizza while supplies last.
Prairie Pride Guild treasurer Jenni Barrientos said the goal is to make the event welcoming and accessible for everyone, regardless of whether they identify as LGBTQA+.
“Whether you want to support some friends or family, or if you want to do something where it’s for you, we just want to make sure that we have a lot of different events or guest speakers,” Barrientos said.
