Medicine Hat Tigers to start 2026-27 season against Lethbridge Hurricanes

The Medicine Hat Tigers will start their 2026-27 Western Hockey League Season with a home-and-home against their Highway 3 rivals.

They will head to Lethbridge to take on the Hurricanes on Friday, September 18th, before hosting the Hurricanes at Co-op Place on Saturday, September 19th.

Both contests will have a 7 p.m. puck drop.

The Tigers are coming off a 2025-26 season where the team reached the Eastern Conference Finals before falling to the Prince Albert Raiders in six games.

During the regular season, the Tigers won 50 games for 108 points, winning the Central Division and taking second in the Eastern Conference, two points behind the Raiders.

The Hurricanes failed to reach the playoffs, finishing last in the league with 38 points in 68 games.
