Mounties say officers, along with fire and EMS crews, responded at around 6 p.m. on Wednesday to a two-vehicle collision on Highway 37, approximately 24 kilometres south of Shaunavon.

Investigators determined the semi and minivan collided, resulting in the death of a passenger in the minivan.

RCMP identified the victim as a 43-year-old woman who was from nearby Climax, Sask., as well as Medicine Hat. They also notified her family.

The driver of the minivan was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. The driver of the semi was not injured.
