Train Alberta launches new employment programs ahead of open house on Friday in Medicine Hat
Train Alberta is inviting the community to an open house on Friday, May 1, as two new programs aimed at helping individuals with employment are being launched.
CEO of Train Alberta, Saleema Khan, said one of the programs the event will introduce is Alberta Onsite, a government-funded pilot program designed to support individuals struggling to enter the workforce.
Khan said the program provides unique training and a multitude of supports, including a partnership with Terra Train offering work simulation in heavy equipment operation, adding that it is the only initiative of its kind currently operating in Medicine Hat.
The second program being launched is Framework for Success, which helps people who have recently lost jobs or are on employment insurance build skills and re-enter the workforce.
