Schedule released for BCHL Interior Conference Finals between Brooks Bandits and Cranbrook Bucks

The schedule is out for the BCHL Interior Conference Finals between the Brooks Bandits and Cranbrook Bucks.

Games one and two of the series will be in Brooks at the Centennial Regional Arena on Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m., which will be the time for all games in the series.

The series will then shift to Cranbrook for games three and four on Tuesday and Wednesday.

If necessary, the Bandits will remain in Cranbrook for game five on Friday, May 8.

Games six and seven would be back in Brooks on Monday, May 11, and Tuesday, May 12.

The Bandits’ route to the third round began with a first-round sweep of the Spruce Grove Saints, followed by a seven-game battle against the Sherwood Park Crusaders.

Also finishing their second-round series in seven games was the Bucks, winning over the Salmon Arm Silverbacks. The Bucks upset the West Kelowna Warriors in five games in round one.

The Bandits and Bucks faced off four times during the BCHL Regular season. The Bandits won three of those contests, losing the last game against the Bucks in overtime in February.

Oct. 3 – Bucks 2 at Bandits 10

Nov. 22 – Bandits 5 at Buck 2

Dec. 13 – Bandits 6 at Bucks 2

Feb. 21 – Bucks 4 at Bandits 3 (OT)

Goaltender Zach Zahara has played all of the Bandits’ 11 playoff games so far; he has only faced the Bucks once this season. A 10-2 Bandits victory in October, where he stopped 22 of 24 shots. Backup goaltender Lincoln Molind faced the Bucks in the other three contests.

Jason Tremblay has started in net for eight of the Bucks’ 12 playoff games, with Josh Scully playing the other four. The Bandits have faced Scully twice this season, but didn’t see Tremblay in the four regular-season contests.

Offensively, the Bandits outscored the Bucks 24-10 in the four regular-season contests.

In the regular season, Bandits forward Jack Good led the offensive charge against the Bucks with three goals and five assists over four games.

Bandits forward Dmitrijs Dilevka is leading the BCHL in playoffs in points with 21 in 11 games, with seven goals and 14 assists. Dilevka is followed by Bandits forward Isaac Johnson in second place with 18 points in 11 games, with five goals and 13 assists.

Forward Konstantin Hutzinger was the top offensive producer for the Bucks against the Bandits during the regular season, with five points, including two goals and three assists in the three games he played.

During the playoff, Hutzinger sits second in points on the Bucks with nine in 12 games, including eight goals. Forward Adam Csabi leads the Bucks with 10 points in 12 games with seven goals.
