The Medicine Hat Minor Hockey Association has appointed Nathan Crosby as its general manager, effective for the 2026-27 season.

Crosby joins the association after nine seasons with the Brooks Bandits, where he most recently served as business manager.

Originally from Didsbury, Crosby brings 13 years of junior hockey experience across the AJHL and BCHL, including four seasons as a broadcaster with the Drumheller Dragons before joining the Bandits.

Since joining the Bandits in 2017, Crosby has held senior leadership roles overseeing business operations, marketing, sponsorship sales, financial planning, staff management, game-day operations, public relations, and league and board relations, while also serving as the team’s play-by-play announcer, calling more than 600 games.

During Crosby’s tenure, the Bandits won multiple championships, including AJHL and national titles in 2019, 2022 and 2023, and after moving to the BCHL, the team captured an Alberta championship and the Rocky Mountain Challenge, becoming in 2025 the first Alberta-based team to win the Fred Page Cup.

Crosby said he’s honoured to take on the role and looks forward to working with players, families, coaches and the board ahead of the 2026-27 season.

Additional highlights of Crosby’s career include chairing the successful bid to host the 2021 AJHL Showcase in Brooks and representing the Bandits internationally at the 2023 U20 Super Challenge in Sweden.
