
Elma Neufeld
November 6, 1931 ~ April 12, 2026
Elma Neufeld (nee Eidse) passed away on Sunday, April 12, 2026, in Medicine Hat at the age of 94 years, having lived independently to the end. She is survived by her 5 children and their spouses: Cal (Kim) Neufeld, Deb (Gerrit) Elkink, Rod (Dianne) Neufeld, Lorenda (Vic) Harder and Derrick (Colleen) Neufeld); 14 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren as well as her sister Margaret Penner.
Elma was born on November 6, 1931, in the farming village of Morris, Manitoba, travelling widely for many decades. She lived a long and richly creative life, distinguishing herself across Canada as a prolific artist of great talent and vision, holding her final of many exhibitions just a month before receiving her cancer diagnosis five months ago. Elma was a woman of deep Christian faith, and she shared her love of Jesus with everyone, beginning with her own children. Deeply missed on earth, she is present with the Lord.
