Apr 4, 2026 | 10:17 PM

Cam Parr snuck a wrist shot through the five-hole of Marek Schlenker 51 seconds into overtime to complete the Game 5 comeback and advance the Medicine Hat Tigers to the second round of the Western Hockey League playoffs.

The Regina Pats led by three twice in the second period, but Noah Davidson and Bryce Pickford added two late goals to shrink the deficit to one entering the third.

Late in the third period, a fortuitous bounce led to a Liam Ruck empty-net goal to tie the game at four and eventually force overtime.

The Tigers outshot the Pats 37-21, and Pats netminder Marek Schlenker was exceptional, making 32 saves in the overtime loss.

The Regina goals came courtesy of Dayton Deschamps, Zachary Lansard, Ruslan Karimov, and Ellis Mieyette.

Jordan Switzer turned aside 17 shots in the win for the Tigers.

Medicine Hat went two for seven on the man-advantage and two for three on the penalty kill.

The Tigers will either play the Calgary Hitmen or the Edmonton Oil Kings in Round 2.
