Medicine Hat Tigers look to take 3-1 series lead against Regina Pats

Apr 1, 2026 | 12:00 PM

Following an 8-2 Game 3 victory Tuesday night, the Medicine Hat Tigers aim to get one win away from advancing to the Eastern Conference semi-finals tonight in Game 4 against the Regina Pats.

Seven different Tigers found the back of the net in Game 3 as the Tigers bounced back from a 4-2 Game 2 defeat with an emphatic offensive outing.

The Tabbies have outscored the Pats by a combined score of 19-4 in their last two games inside the Brandt Centre and have doubled Regina in goals through three games of the series.

All but four Tigers have recorded points in the series as Medicine Hat has seen offense come from all aspects of their lineup.

Despite leading the league in power play percentage in the regular season, the Tigers man-advantage is yet to find its stride in the postseason, only having two goals on ten attempts.

Their penalty kill has been stellar, though busier than they’d like, going 14 for 15 through three games.

Regina netminder Marek Schlenker was pulled last night after allowing five goals on 18 shots through a little over 32 minutes of action, and it remains to be seen if he or Taylor Tabashniuk, who started Game 1, will get the nod for Game 4.

Jordan Switzer has started all three games for the Tigers and is the presumptive Game 4 starter following a 25-save outing in Game 3.

Puck drop from the Brandt Centre is slated for 7:00 p.m. MST and the pre-game show begins at 6:45 p.m. on WILD 94.5 FM.
