Mar 31, 2026 | 2:50 PM

The Medicine Hat Cubs will have emergency services escort them through Medicine Hat on Wednesday morning as they head to Provincials in Lloydminster.

The fire department has been confirmed, and police may also be joining.

The community is encouraged to show support for the team as they travel through the city.

A planned route starts from the Kinplex Arena at 10 a.m.

From there, the bus will head to Dunmore Road Southeast and turn left.

It will then circle by the Medicine Hat Mall and go down Trans-Canada Way Southeast.

The bus will then turn right down 13th Avenue Southeast before travelling down to Kingsway Avenue Southeast, continuing towards downtown.

A left turn onto Second Street Southeast will then have the bus turn right at the Esplanade to head down First Street Southeast towards Maple Avenue Southeast.

At that point, the escort will come to an end shortly after the bus travels down Maple Avenue Southeast.
