Trial set for Medicine Hat woman charged in youth hockey fraud case
A trial will take place this summer for a Medicine Hat woman who is facing multiple charges related to her operation of a youth hockey program in the community.
The Medicine Hat Police Service laid charges against 46-year-old Nola Besplug following an investigation in September 2025.
She was charged with both fraud and theft over $5,000, and possession of proceeds of crime.
A not guilty plea was entered by Besplug on March 17, and the trial is set for Aug. 12-14, 2026.
