The Medicine Hat Cubs won their first Heritage Junior Hockey League title in team history with a three-game series sweep over the Red Deer Vipers.

They head to Lloydminster on Wednesday, April 1, to compete at the Junior B provincials, riding a seven-game winning streak heading into the event.

The Cubs’ schedule and results for the tournament can be found here.

The six-team tournament concludes on Sunday, April 5, with the bronze medal game at 10:30 a.m. and the gold medal game at 2 p.m.

All games will be played at the 2,500-seat Cenovus Energy Hub Arena that opened in Lloydminster in the fall of 2025.

The Cubs will be hosting a tailgate party at the Hockey Hounds Social Room on Monday, March 30, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

There will be food on-site and music, and a chance to meet the Cubs players.
