“A bunch of different stuff covering a bunch of different areas,” Wepruk said.

“We were meeting with a lot of local sport groups specifically… what I heard is that groups were struggling with promoting themselves, driving registrations, looking for volunteers, all that kind of stuff,” he added.

“We had run something similar in the past that was very registration-based only. [This is] more focused on the promotion of it. Let’s get in front of people rather than say specifically to come and register.”

Wepruk said he has heard a lot of feedback about how great past events hosted at the mall were.

“They’ve been a great partner in allowing us to use the facility and run this event there,” Wepruk said.

He said there are some potential deals available through the expo.

“About a third of the organizations are looking to offer some sort of a free tryout, a discount, or something to that nature in the next little while,” Wepruk said.

“So come check out what they have to offer, and they can give you a little bit more information on that.”

The event will showcase runs from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
