Medicine Hat Tigers topple Lethbridge Hurricanes 8-4

A five-goal first period helped power the Medicine Hat Tigers to an 8-4 victory over the Lethbridge Hurricanes.

Noah Davidson led the offensive charge with a pair of goals and an assist en route to being named the game’s first star.

Andrew Basha also added a pair of goals in the victory.

Kadon McCann, Carter Cunningham, Liam Ruck, and Tyson Moss rounded out the Tiger offense.

Carter Casey turned aside 17 of 21 shots faced for his 12th win of the season.

Koen Cleaver was pulled 12:03 into the hockey game after allowing four goals on the Tigers first six shots.

Leif Oaten came in to relieve Cleaver and turned aside 26 of 30 shots faced.

The Hurricane offense came mainly on the powerplay as they went three for four on the man-advantage.

Lethbridge’s goals came courtesy of Kayden Longley, Matteo Fabrizi, Owen Berge, and Easton Daneault.

The Tigers conclude their three-game homestand Wednesday night against the Edmonton Oil Kings in a battle of the top two teams in the Central Division.
