Indoor skateboarding program helping kids stay active during the cold of winter
Young skateboarders are getting their exercise indoors the during a cold spell outside with the SkateSkool program.
The Medicine Hat Skateboard Association (MHSA) has taken the program indoors for the first time. Kids as young as the age of five have gone out to the indoor skate park in The Summit Center to learn how to skate.
Organizer and Volunteer Instructor Colton Steinkey says the program has been a big success so far.
“We were overwhelmed, lots of kids ended up keep coming out and the results are amazing,” said Steinkey.
