Forty-five exhibitors expected at Community Job Fair at Medicine Hat College on Wednesday

Jan 20, 2026 | 12:55 PM

The annual jobs fair at Medicine Hat College will host and expected 45 exhibitors with a variety of professions this Wednesday.

For fourteen years, the event has connected jobseekers to summer positions, internships, and permanent career opportunities.

Community members and students are invited to attend between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Jan. 21, 2026, at the College campus and meet with recruiters.

“This event is designed to offer something for everyone,” said Shelly Drefs, career services assistant at MHC.

“The organizations already registered represent a wide range of industries, and it’s a great opportunity for attendees to get a good idea of the types of jobs they are qualified for in a more casual and low-stress environment.”

It provides a networking opportunity for jobseekers, who are encouraged to come with questions.

Attendees can expect to hear details about the hiring process from potential employers. Employers may also conduct an on-the-spot interview.

“Networking is an important part of finding any job, and the Community Job Fair is the perfect opportunity to make a great first impression,” Drefs said.

“Attendees should speak with as many exhibitors as possible and follow up afterward for the best chance of success.”

The Career and Employment Centre at Medicine Hat College is available by appointment for students and alumni to support with resumes and interview practice.
