REDI Enterprises launches the “Runway” employment program in Medicine Hat and Southeastern Alberta

Jan 9, 2026 | 5:27 PM

The REDI Enterprises Society has launched “Runway,” a new transformative employment initiative in Medicine Hat and Southeastern Alberta to support individuals facing barriers in workforce participation.

The Work-Based Learning program empowers individuals facing barriers, including those with a diagnosis or suspected diagnosis of fetal alcohol spectrum disorder, acquired brain injury, autism spectrum disorder or other cognitive disabilities.

The Government of Canada and the Province of Alberta funded the program, which provides assessments, skills training, job placement, on-site coaching, and wraparound supports to help participants find and keep employment.

REDI Enterprises Executive Director, Josh Hudson, said success comes from community, with local employers and partners working together to build inclusive, resilient job opportunities across southeastern Alberta.

Jason Nixon, Minister of Assisted Living and Social Services, said Alberta is supporting programs that help people with disabilities find and keep meaningful work, noting inclusive employment strengthens the province.

REDI Enterprises said it’s proud to deliver the new Runway program to the community.

Runway is now open to individuals effective Jan. 9, 2026, and to join the program, visit the REDI Enterprises website.
