It’s the second weekend in January, and according to Environment Canada, Medicine Hat will see plenty of sunshine all weekend.

Friday has a mix of sun and cloud, a high of -2 C and a low of -3 C, with a wind chill of -8 in the evening.

Saturday is projected to be sunny with a high of 9 C and an evening low of 1 C.

Sunday is also sunny and a high of 11 C and a low of 5 C at night.

Monday is similar to Friday, with a mix of sun and cloud, but the weather will continue to warm up, with a high of 15 C and an evening low of 6 C.

🐯 Medicine Hat Tigers

FRIDAY AND SATURDAY

The Medicine Hat Tigers look to extend their current winning streak to 16, as they host the Seattle Thunderbirds at Co-op Place tonight.

The Tigers will then face the Lethbridge Hurricanes on Saturday at Co-op Place for the second home game of the weekend.

Will Bryant will have the call for the radio broadcast of both games on Wild 94.5 FM, when he is joined on colour by Lance Doll, starting with the pre-game tonight at 6:45 p.m., and Saturday also at 6:45 p.m.

🐍 Medicine Hat Ratters

FRIDAY AND SATURDAY

Many games from the Medicine Hat College Rattlers take place this weekend.

Women’s Basketball: 6 p.m. on Friday and 1 p.m. on Saturday against Briercrest College at the Medicine Hat College Snake Pit (Gym).

Women’s Hockey: 7:30 p.m. on Friday against SAIT at the Moose Rec Centre.

Men’s Basketball: 8 p.m. on Friday and 3 p.m. on Saturday against Briercrest College.

🍾 Bottle Drive at Big Marble Go Centre

SATURDAY

The post-holiday Bottle Drive is taking place at the Big Marble Go Centre baseball diamond parking lot by Prairie Pride Guild of Medicine Hat and District from 1 to 4 p.m.

Support from the public helps to continue hosting inclusive, low-cost, community events throughout the year.

🎨 Nature Art Night

SATURDAY

The Medicine Hat Interpretive Program is hosting Nature Art Night at the Nature Centre, taking place from 7 to 9 p.m.

The program will help young painters create nature-themed pieces using acrylics & watercolours.

🎬 Banff Centre Mountain Film Festival World Tour

SUNDAY

The Banff Centre Mountain Film Festival World Tour is returning to Medicine Hat with three adventure film screenings at the Esplanade Arts & Heritage Centre in partnership with the Medicine Hat Public Library.

The event will take place from 7 to 9:30 p.m.
