Brooks Bandits win three in a row heading into Christmas break

The Brooks Bandits head into the holiday break having won three straight BCHL games.

On Sunday, the Bandits defeated the Sherwood Park Crusaders 7-5 at the Centennial Regional Arena.

Forward Isaac Johnson had his second consecutive two-goal game. Forward Mathis Dufour led the Bandits in points on Sunday with a goal and three assists, with captain Dante Siciliano contributing three assists.

On Friday night, the Bandits defeated the Spruce Grove Saints 8-4, again on home ice.

Alternate captain Liam Fitzpatrick scored five goals, the first time a Bandit has done this since 2021.

A three-assist game also came from alternate captain Jack Good.

The Bandits wore special Christmas jerseys for both games. Away attending the 2026 IIHF World Junior Championships, playing for Latvia are three Bandits skaters, Krists Retenais, Dmitrijs Dilevka, and Harijs Cjunskis.

Heading into the break, the Bandits have 18 wins, nine losses, and two overtime losses for 38 points in 29 games.

They sit five points back of the Blackfalds Bulldogs for top spot in the BCHL’s Interior East Division with a game in hand.

The Bandits also sit fourth in the Interior Conference, and fifth in the BCHL.

The next contest for the Bandits is Saturday, Jan. 3, against the West Kelowna Warriors.
