1944 – Arlene Krausz – 2025

 

It is with the heaviest of hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister, Arlene Krausz, wife of Terry Krausz. Arlene passed peacefully at the age of 81 years, in Medicine Hat, surrounded by her loving family. She is predeceased by her parents, Reinhold and Clara Krauss. Arlene is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Terry; her children, Bonnie (Pat), Terry Scott (Tammy); grandchildren, Mitchell (Angelina), Devin (Jenn); her four great grandchildren, Wade, Rory, Noah, and Arya; brother; Donald (Carol); sister-in-law, Randi Motz; and niece, Shannon (Don). True to her youth on the farm, Arlene was one tough lady! She loved her horses and was an excellent rider. After getting married, Arlene and Terry moved to Calgary where she worked hauling freight and could toss 50 lb boxes of nails and even pipes. She kept the men on their toes. She then moved onto Carlton cards, where she worked for over 20 years, all the while raising her two young children. In retirement, Terry and Arlene moved back to her childhood farm, and promptly forgot what retirement meant. She was a going concern with her flowers and various chores around the farm. Peonies, Hollyhocks, and Bleeding Hearts were her favorites. Arlene had an amazing love of life and an incredible sense of humour. She will be so very missed by all who knew her. Arlene’s memorial service will be held at Fifth Avenue Memorial United Church, 476 4^th Street SE, Medicine Hat, AB on Saturday, November 29 ,2025 at 1:00 pm.
