Tigers aim to get back to winning ways against young upstart Pats squad

Nov 14, 2025 | 12:33 PM

The Medicine Hat Tigers are on the road this weekend as they aim to get their first win of November tonight on the front-end of a back-to-back against the Regina Pats.

The Tigers enter following the completion of a three-game homestand, where they went 0-1-1-1, most recently following a 7-4 defeat to the Brandon Wheat Kings.

Medicine Hat opened the season against the Pats and came away with a 5-2 victory.

Regina started the season slow, going 1-6-1-0 through their first eight games, but have turned a corner and enter tonight winners in seven of their last 11.

The Pats’ power play has been red-hot over their last three games, going eight for 14.

Their penalty kill has been lacking over that same span, having gone just seven for its last 12.

The Medicine Hat power play has found its footing despite the four-game losing skid, having gone five for eight over their three-game homestand.

Offensively, the Tigers have seen nine of the club’s last 11 goals come from either Jonas Woo or Bryce Pickford, who each sit first and second in goals by defensemen in the Western Hockey League.

The Tabbies will be without both of their Finnish defenseman, Niilopekka Muhonen and Veeti Vaisanen.

As a result, Tyson Moss and Riley Steen draw into the Tiger lineup and will play alongside one another.

Puck drop from the Brandt Centre in Regina is slated for 6:00 p.m, MST with the pre-game show beginning at 5:45 p.m. on WILD 94.5 FM.
