It’s the first weekend of October, with showers potentially in the forecast for Friday, and below-zero Celsius overnight temperatures later in the weekend according to Environment Canada.

Friday is mainly cloudy with a 30 per cent chance of showers early in the afternoon, then clearing with a high of 20 C.

The evening is expected to see increasing cloudiness and a 30 per cent chance of showers overnight with a low of 8 C.

Saturday is expected to be a mix of sun and cloud throughout the day with a high of 15 C and a low of zero C.

Sunday is forecast to be sunny and a high of 9 C, with the evening clear and a low of minus 2 C.

🐅 Tigers Hockey

FRIDAY AND SATURDAY

The Medicine Hat Tigers are in action this weekend with a pair of games.

Friday, the team travels down Highway 3 to Lethbridge to take on the Hurricanes at 7 p.m.

The Tigers are back at Co-op Place on Saturday night to host the Calgary Hitmen at 7 p.m.

Will Bryant will have the call on the radio broadcast for both games on Wild 94.5.

The pre-game starts 15 minutes before puck drop during road games, and 30 minutes prior during home games when Lance Doll is accompanying him with colour commentary.

🎸Cirque Italia: Water Circus

FRIDAY, SATURDAY, SUNDAY

Cirque Italia: Water Circus is back in Medicine Hat for three days and six showings.

The circus is under the white and blue big top tent is set up in the Medicine Hat Mall Parking lot.

Tickets are available online for all showings from Friday to Sunday, or at the on-site box office.

The first show is on Friday at 7:30 p.m. and the last show is on Sunday at 4:30 p.m.

🚶 Fourth Annual Inclusive Life Story Walk

SATURDAY

Inclusion Medicine Hat is hosting the 4th annual Inclusive Life Story walk on Oct. 4 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Police Point Park.

There will be a hot dog lunch provided with a coin donation, and free drinks provided on site for a limited number of people.

The event supports those in our community impacted by disabilities, and their pursuit to live a meaningful, inclusive life.

Boards will be put up along the path, to highlight stories of community members who are achieving inclusion.

🎈 Neighbourhood Bash @ Salvation Army

SATURDAY

The Salvation Army is hosting a free Neighbourhood Bash on Saturday at the 164 Stratton Way S.E. location.

It will include games, bouncy castles, face painting and a BBQ from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

📽 Hocus Pocus at Monarch Theatre

SATURDAY

The Monarch Theatre is getting into the Halloween spirit this month, showing several films to fit the theme.

Disney’s Hocus Pocus will be on the big screen on Saturday at 7 p.m. doors open at 6:30 p.m.

Admission is cash only, with a $5 cost.

The concession is any two items for $5.

⚰️ Miller’s Haunted Medicine Hat Scavenger Hunt

SATURDAY

Miller’s Haunted Medicine Hat Scavenger Hunt is at the Silver Buckle Sports Bar on Saturday starting at 6 p.m. with doors opening at 5 p.m.

The city-wide photo scavenger hunt filled with mystery, history, and a touch of supernatural is open to those aged 18 and older.

Tickets are available online.

🎃 You-pick Pumpkin Fundraiser

SATURDAY

The Medicine Hat Wrestling Club hosts a you-pick pumpkin fundraiser on Saturday.

The event runs from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

It will also include a bake sale, hot drinks and a place to take photos.

The patch is located southwest of Redcliff with a pinned location through Google Maps available.

🎸A Tribute to Niel Young

SATURDAY

A Harvest Moon Party, a Neil Young Tribute band will perform at Liquid’s concert room on Saturday night at 8 p.m. Tickets are $28.
