Shoreline litter picking party to support watershed health in Medicine Hat

Medicine Hat Interpretive Program is hosting a litter picking party along the South Saskatchewan River on Saturday.

The MHIP will meet participants at the Riverside parking lot in Police Point Park at 1 p.m., and clean up garbage until 2 p.m.

The MHIP said in a statement that the event is an opportunity to learn about the city’s watershed and why it’s important to keep it clean.

It offers education to residents on how they can protect the animals and plants that call Medicine Hat home.
