Medicine Hat Tigers aim to bounce back after WHL final series tied

May 12, 2025 | 8:42 AM

The Medicine Hat Tigers are looking to bounce back after a weekend of mixed results.

That’s as a best of seven series against the Spokane Chiefs for the Western Hockey League final is back to even.

Andrew Basha returned to the lineup for the first time since 2024 to notch the opening goal on Friday, getting the series off to an exuberant start.

The Tigers won that first game 4-1 in front of a sea of orange at Co-op Place, getting the city on its feet.

But that jubilation was short-lived because the Chiefs got one back on Sunday evening to tie up the series and send it to a best of five.

Now, the Tigers will head to Spokane to play the Chiefs three times this week starting with a Tuesday matchup.
