Emergency services responding to Brooks structure fire

Emergency services responded to a structure fire in the south end of Brooks on Friday afternoon.

The fire is burning at 49 Veiner Rd. W, according to authorities.

Traffic control measures are in place and emergency crews are on scene.

The City of Brooks announced shortly after 2:30 p.m. that all its facilities were closed, including the JBS Canada Centre.

The city said updates will be provided as the situation evolves.
