Medicine Hat residents charged after police find firearms, illegal drugs
A pair of Medicine Hat residents are facing charges after police found two restricted firearms, money and illegal drugs at a North Flats residence.
The Medicine Hat Police Service executed a search at a residence located in the 900 block of Fifth Street Southeast on Sunday.
Along with the firearms and Canadian cash, officers found cocaine, Fentanyl, methamphetamine, heroin and gamma-hydroxybutyric acid, police said.
A 43-year-old man and 42-year-old woman were both charged with possession of a substance for the purpose of trafficking, possession of stolen property, unauthorized possession of a firearm, unsafe storage of a firearm and possession of a weapon obtained by commission of an offence.
