The holidays have arrived for 2024.
Here is what’s open and closed in Medicine Hat and area over the holiday break.

There is no garbage collection in Medicine Hat on Dec. 25 and 26.
On Dec. 27, collection resumes in Zone 5.
Dec. 30 and 31, garbage collection returns to normal.
On Jan. 1, there is no collection.
Collection resumes in Zone 3 on Jan. 2.

Medicine Hat Transit service runs until 6:45 p.m. on Dec. 24.
There is no service Dec. 25 and 26.
Regular service resumes Dec. 27 to 31.
There is no service on Jan. 1.
On Jan. 2, regular service resumes.

Medicine Hat’s city hall and other administrative buildings are closed Dec. 25, Dec. 26 and Jan. 1.
However, some of its recreation buildings are open with varying hours between Dec. 24 and Jan. 2.

Redcliff’s town hall and the Redcliff Cypress Regional Landfill are both closed Dec. 24 to 26 and Jan. 1.

Cypress County offices are closed from noon on Dec. 24 until Jan. 2.

Hidden Valley Ski Resort is open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Dec. 19 to 23.
It is closed Dec. 24 and 25, before reopening for regular hours Dec. 26 to 31.
The resort is closed Jan. 1. before reopening Jan. 2.
