Wind gusts over 80 kph recorded in parts of Southeastern Alberta in Sunday storm

A fast moving system over central and southern Alberta brought rain, weak thunderstorms, freezing rain and snow on Sunday.
The highest wind gust in our region was at Onefour at 87 kilometers per hour.
Ralston had a peak gust of 83 and the wind hit 80 kph at Bow Island.
Snowfall amounts varied, with 8 cm over a 48 hour period at the Medicine Hat airport, and 30 cm in the Cypress Hills.
Accumulations did vary however, as some of the snow melted on contact.
