It’s that time of year where holiday markets are on every weekend.

Here is what’s on in Medicine Hat and area this weekend:

🎄 Christmas Farmers’ Market

The annual Christmas Farmers’ Market is running Friday from noon to 8 p.m. and on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

It’s taking place at the Cypress Centre Fieldhouse and Pavilion at the Medicine Hat Exhibition and Stampede grounds.

The Kangeroo Rats will be performing on Saturday and there will be a broad variety of vendors, organizers say.

Admission is $2 for adults while those who are 12 and under can enter for free.

🛍 Inaugural Mistletoe Market

The inaugural Mistletoe Market is taking place at the Medicine Hat Lodge from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday.

It will feature local vendors offering handmade crafts and products for the season.

There will be music, food and drink as well.

🧁 Bake sale and Christmas fair

River Ridge Seniors Village is hosting a bake sale and Christmas-themed fair from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday.

Vendors there will be selling festive treats and hand-crafted gifts.

🐅 One Tigers home game

The Medicine Hat Tigers have one home game this weekend.

They are taking on the Victoria Royals at Co-op Place at 7 p.m. on Friday.

🏒 Hockey Hounds tournament

The Medicine Hat Hockey Hounds U15 AAA tournament is back for the 51st time this weekend.

The four-day tournament wraps up with championship games on Sunday.

The tournament has featured National Hockey League greats Jerome Iginla, Trevor Linden, Scott Neidermayer, Brent Seabrook, Mark Stone and many others over the years.
