Medicine Hat Women’s Shelter Society receives $250,000 donation

The Medicine Hat Women’s Shelter Society received a significant donation from a local club.

A presentation of a $250,000 donation was made by the Medicine Hat Kinsmen Club on Tuesday.

The Women’s Shelter Society is continuing to seek financial support to cover the cost for their $8.5 million renovation and expansion project at the Pheonix Safe House Emergency Shelter.

Work started on the project in November 2023 through a low-interest loan.
