Medicine Hat police respond to call at south-end plaza

Medicine Hat police responded to a weapons offences call from a south-end plaza on Wednesday evening, according to the public calls record.

At least five Medicine Hat Police Service cruisers were parked in front of ACE Liquor Discounter on Carry Drive Southeast around 8 p.m.

Several of the cruisers had flashing lights turned on and police officers were milling around the area in front of the alcohol store.

There was an SUV with most of its doors open.

The on-duty staff sergeant told CHAT News there was no threat to public safety.
