Roxanne Rose
October 29, 1959 ~ October 2, 2024
A fearless warrior, Roxanne Louise Rose lost her fight with cancer after a courageous battle. She passed away at St. Joseph’s Home – Carmel Hospice in Medicine Hat on Tuesday, October 2, 2024, at the age of 64 years. Left to remember Roxanne are her two sons, Jeffery (Joni) and their children, Emmett and Hudson; Nicholas (Jenna) and their children, Nixon, Blakely and Boden; loving partner of 19 years, Larry Hoeppner; his children, Falone (Dave) (Jocelyn and Rylan) and Jolene (Matt) (Stella) as well as his extended family; sisters, Linda (Tom) and Heather as well as several nieces and nephews whom she loved very much. She was predeceased by her father, Harvey; mother, Barbara; brother, David and brother- in-law, Danny. Roxanne was passionate about her family especially her grandchildren who she always referred to as her ‘little rosebuds’. Spending time at the lake was very important to her whether it was playing bridge, crib, crafting or just relaxing. Roxanne proved how strong she was as she went through rehab and overcame alcoholism as she truly wanted to be present in her grandchildren’s lives. Roxanne always loved hearing from Jeff and Nick and watching her grandsons play hockey. She has always been so proud of her sons and their accomplishments. The last three months have been extremely hard on everyone as she tried so hard to fight and be strong. Through all her anxiety and pain there was nothing she wanted more then to be able to have more time with family. Unfortunately she couldn’t catch a break and cancer won the battle. Roxanne will be missed so much! She is now free from the pain and can now rest peacefully. A Celebration of Roxanne’s life will be held at Cook Southland Funeral Chapel, 901 – 13 Street S.W., Medicine Hat on Tuesday, October 8, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Murray Jaster officiating.
