A severe thunderstorm warning was issued for Brooks, along with large areas of southern Alberta, late Monday afternoon.
Graphic/Environment CanadaConditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms that may be capable of producing strong wind gusts and large hail, according to the Environment Canada alert.
Thunderstorms have developed Monday afternoon. Some of the thunderstorms may become severe into the afternoon and early evening, the advisory said.
