CALGARY — The Calgary Flames have re-signed forward Adam Klapka to a one-year contract extension, the NHL club announced Monday.

The two-way contract is worth US$750,000 at the NHL level.

Klapka appeared in six games with the Flames last season and scored his first NHL goal April 18 in a 5-1 win over the San Jose Sharks.

The 23-year-old led the American Hockey League’s Calgary Wranglers in scoring last season with 21 goals and 25 assists, and his plus-8 defensive rating was the second-best on the club.
