Air quality advisory issued for Medicine Hat, Bow Island

An air quality advisory was issued due to wildfire smoke just before midnight for Medicine Hat, Bow Island and areas north of the municipalities.
The smoke from fires burning in Alberta is causing or is expected to cause very poor air quality and reduced visibility, according to Environment Canada’s advisory.
During heavy smoke conditions, everyone is at risk regardless of their age or health, according to the advisory. The fine particles in wildfire smoke pose the main health risk.
The moon was a deep orange colour around midnight in Medicine Hat.
