Medicine Hat looking to spice up downtown as the Chili Cookoff begins

Grab your bowls, Hatters. The Chili Cookoff begins Saturday.

Beginning at 11 a.m. and running until 2 p.m., 17 businesses will be selling their best chili and salsa.

As a first-time entry, the CORE Association, a group dedicated to helping adults with disabilities, is looking to make their mark on the competition, but said that bragging rights isn’t nearly as important as giving back to the community.
