James ‘Jim’ Samuel Wright, loving partner of Debbie Rookes, passed away at the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital on Sunday, June 2, 2024, at the age of 63 years. Along with Debbie, Left to cherish Jim’s memory are his children: son, Darcy (Amanda) and their daughter, Emma; son, Dustin (Lori) and their children, Ryan, Nova, Peyton and Paisley; daughter, Dawna (Al); step-son, Micheal (Connie) and their children, Mackayla, Sierra and Liam; cousins, Kathy and Danny Thompson as well as his furbaby, Missy. He was predeceased by his parents, Les and Eunice Wright and his cousin, Ben. Jim’s drive to never stop, whether that was in life or behind the wheel, was his strongest trait. You could always find Jim tinkering in his garage which was a haven for him. His love of fast things including motorcycles, cars and horses always brought a smile to Jim’s face. He was a quiet man, but he sure liked to socialize! Spending time with family, especially his children and grandchildren, were the greatest memories and will leave a lasting legacy. A Celebration of Jim’s life will be held at Cook Southland Funeral Chapel, 901 – 13 Street S.W., Medicine Hat on Tuesday, June 11, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Murray Jaster officiating.
