Noah Townshend
1988 ~ 2024
It is with broken hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Noah Townshend on Sunday, May 19, 2024, at the age of 35 years as a result of a tragic accident while dirt biking in Idaho. Noah was a devoted husband to Amanda and an amazing dad to his two daughters, Rylie and Maddy. These three girls were his world!
As one may expect, Noah came into this world in a hurry and full throttle! He was born in a speedy delivery in Calgary on June 27, 1988, a son to proud parents, Ivan and Natalie Townshend. He was raised in Nobleford and attended high school in Lethbridge where he graduated from LCI in 2006. It was while at LCI that he took an interest in the automotive course and this interest soon became his passion. At the age of 17, this ambitious young man walked into Dwight’s Place Automotive looking for work experience and was given a chance. This is where he would spend the rest of his life working, honing his skills for the next 18 years! This soon became not only his second home, but his second family. Noah was a hard worker and dedicated employee whose work ethic was unmatched. His efforts were recognized as he became an integral part of the structure of the company he loved to work for. In 2005, Noah met Amanda and the two have been inseparable ever since he won her over with his charm and obnoxious pick-up line! The high school sweethearts were married on September 6, 2008 and from this love, two more girls would be born and steal his heart… Rylie and Maddy. Noah was the life of the party with his uncanny wit and obnoxious, but loveable nature. He was a great friend, a man’s man, who was always willing to lend a helping hand. He had a zest for life and thoroughly enjoyed anything with wheels and a motor. He enjoyed riding his motorbike on road trips with friends and dirt biking with friends and family. He loved the outdoors and spending time making memories with his family which included camping as well as riding in the mountains with his girls in the summer and snowmobiling and snowboarding in the winter. He worked hard… played hard… loved hard! Noah had many great qualities but most of all he was a wonderful family man as a devoted husband and amazing dad who would do anything for his family. Noah will be deeply missed beyond measure by his soulmate and wife, Amanda; his precious girls, Rylie and Madelyn; parents, Ivan and Natalie Townshend; sister, Rachel (Noah) Dodds and their children, James and Katherine; brothers, Dylan (Samantha) Townshend and Ewan Townshend; mother-in-law, Brenda (Barry) Trekofski; father-in-law, Brian Bitz; brother-in-law, Cody (Justine) Bitz and their girls, Amelia and Hannah and his grandfather, Walter Balay. Noah will also be remembered by his mentor and honourary father, Dwight Yanke, as well as many close friends and extended family. He was predeceased by his grandmother, Sarah Balay and grandparents, C. Philip and Patricia Townshend.
Noah’s life will be honoured at the University Drive Alliance Church, 55 Columbia Blvd. West, Lethbridge on Tuesday, May 28, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Murray Jaster officiating. His life will be further celebrated at the Readymade Community Hall, Township Road 90, Cranford, Alberta immediately following the service.
